Light Faeries

 

 

Gnomes - Gnomes are considered good "light" faeries although some are very mischievous but not in a harmful way. Though they do tend to take things without asking and without returning them later. Gnomes look like small men standing from 10 to 18 inches tall. Their hair is curly or sometimes straight up without any facial hair. Thier faeriy powers of gnomes are invisibility, and heat and cold. Gnomes can be invisible when and how long they want. This power works only on humans even though other faeries can see through gnomes. Also if a gnome dies his heart will turn invisible. Any dark wizard that consumes the heart will gain the ability to turn invisible.

Elves - Elves are very tall and beautiful cretures. Thier average height are 6 to 7 feet, Some happen to be muscular with a wide waist and wide shoulders for male. Their ears are have pointed tips and their eyes are pretty much slanted upwards. They are thousands of years old, although gnomes happen to be even older.

Brownies - They are about a foot in height, wearing clothes rarely ( mostly around humans though). when wearing clothes female brownies wear pleasing tops yet not lowcut. Their skirts have some space to allow movement. They do not wear shoes that often because they like to feel the earth benieth them, although if they do wear shoes they are very lightweight. They sometimes wear cone-shaped hats that are made of soft material. They make sure never to cover their ears with their hair as they are very fond of their ears, seeing them as beauty. Their clothes show what area they live. They also have very lovaly singing voices and always seem to be carrying around an instrument. Imitating sounds of nature with their instruments. 

Devas - Devas are similar to angels. They help to direct the gnomes and others who work to protect mother earth. They protect areas from the humans and others. When an area they protect is very hurt, it gives them pain and they have to stay there till the end. After they return to help out mother earth in any other way possible. 

Sprites - Are beautiful, tiny creatures with wings that are shaped like butterfly wings that reflect many colors but are also usually transparent, but they can change their wings colors if they please. They are very playful creatures though they are ancient but filled with spiritual wisdom.

 

The Care And Feeding Of Faeries

Faeries are devious creatures that should be treated with care and caution. Thinking mischief is fun and amuses them especially on people that won't know its coming. They steal stockings, cause flowers to wilt, pinch babies to make them cry all of these are just little examples of what they do. Though these creatures can be very tricky and mischievous, they can be the perfect house mates if you treat them right.

How to See Faeries

Before you bring them upon yourself you need to be able to see these creatures and heres how. The best time to view faeries are in the summer at dusk, specifically if the moon is full. Where oak, ash, and thorn are grown together is where they would most likely appear. To help your sight a splash of marigold water rubbed on your eyelids will help. Make sure you only look! if anything other then looking could become very misfortunate to your life. Keep in your head as you are viewing and becoming one with these creatures, they can't be trusted and are fond of disaster in your life.

If You cant See Faeries

If You can not see faeries do not fear for there is another way to tell if they are near. Mushrooms that have grown in circular formations are sure signs of faery presence. Also if you notice some belongings of yours are missing ( such as socks, thimbles, curdled hollandaise.. etc.... )

Bringing Them Upon Your Cottage

Now that you are aware of how to see faeries ( and if you cant, know if they are near) you will learn how to bring them upon you. Faeries are attracted to things such as ground ginger, barely, cake decorations, and anything that glitters. Place a little basket with any of these things next to your cottage. You should have faeries huddled around in excitement, although the faeries have found your basket of goodies do not expect your gifts and nik naks to be gone. Faeries live in a spiritual world so they will only take the spiritual goods from these items but will leave the outer shell of your goodies .If you want any respectful faeries to stay around for a long time, make sure to replace these goodies often. If you replace these often then the faeries will become more respectful and visit more often.
